Candidacy
Any person may offer him/herself as a candidate for membership in this church. All such candidates shall be presented to the church at any regular church service, Bible Study, or teachers’ meeting in any of the following manners:
- By confessional of faith.
- As a candidate for baptism in accordance with the policies of this church
- By letter of recommendation from another church.
- By restoration upon a statement of prior conversion experience and baptism in a Baptist church when no letter is obtainable.
- By acceptance into the Watch-Care Program for military personnel, civil service personnel, or college students at least 150 miles from their home of record.
Should there be any other candidate(s) that do not fit the above criteria, such candidate(s) shall be referred to the Church Counsel for investigation and recommendation as a candidate for membership. Final approval rests with the pastor.
